To anyone out there, hello. Several people I know have good things to say about this... is it a blogosphere? So far behind with techno-jargon. For a modest fee, my phone company lets me have mobile internet, so I can keep you all kinds of updated, Reader! Nothing forthcoming tonight, though; I'm in a big city to look for a new ship after a long drive and I'm a little tapped.

- I love my job as a ships' engineer. I'm flung to the winds for six-ish months of every year - or more accurately, to the currents. I meet some really unbelievable people, see the most breathtaking sights the world has to offer and, when it's all said and done, I get to come home. I love to play the trumpet, to read, to write, play games, tell and hear stories - really, just to be fascinated by something. I've been through the wasteland of intellectual and spiritual stagnation and come through to the other side... well, I'm trying to, anyway. It continues to be quite a journey.
