Weigh Anchor

Good news! As I was sitting in the hall (an hour-and-a-half before job call) yesterday, the dispatcher called a job in Boston for a car carrier bound for Japan. Hooray! You know I was on that like a hobo on a ham sandwich. Which is to say: quick-like.

I managed to get my point of contact at the company peeved by expressing my concern over the coming weather, but he said he has 15 guys flying in Sunday night (!!!) so he really hoped the weather wouldn't be a problem. This, of course, was precisely as reassuring as it was making-with-the-sense. Which is to say: not at all.

So I'm packing up and headed out for another two months. I've enjoyed the respite on terra firma, but America needs me again. You take care and be good, and we'll see if Japanese Santa won't have something pretty for you when he gets back.
